We Honor Veterans

Our United States Veterans are the heart of our nation. When they come under our care, it is with great honor that we have the privilege to serve them. We have developed the national "We Honor Veterans" program to help us better understand the needs of these special people when we provide their end-of-life care. We have also implemented a ceremony honoring the Veterans we serve. This ceremony is performed by our staff and volunteers. It entails a declaration of appreciation be read to the Veteran. This reading is concluded with a salute from a fellow Veteran. They receive a flag to hang so that their service may be recognized. They are decorated with a "We Honor Veterans" pin and given a hand crocheted red, white, and blue blanket. This ceremony is simple, yet very impactful. We are incredibly proud to serve and care for these noble people. To our Veterans, we salute you.
